The D in D-day does not stand for dead or doom or simaler words.D-day actually stands for nothing. The D is the first letter in day. D-day means the day on which a milatary operation begins. The tearm term D-day has been used for many operations but it is now refered to the Allied landings in Normandy on June,6 1944.
